Introduction to Metal ClayThis class will introduce students to the wonderful qualities of metal clay. Students will create an elegant pendant with a rolled bail and or charms with jump rings using basic tools, stamps and textures. They will also learn about silver clay and how it can be used to create other pieces of jewelry. All tools and materials including 20 grams of Art Clay Silver 650 will be provided. |

Art Clay Silver Level One CertificationStudents will complete 9 projects over 3 days of instruction. These projects are designed to teach skills such as the use of organic materials, addition and firing of glass and stones, creating a mirror finish, use of fine silver finding and more. All materials and a basic tool kit are included as well as the use of my tools and supplies during the class and all firing.Completion of level one certification will entitle you to 35% discount on Art Clay products, teach introductory Art Clay classes and to take the Senior level certification class. Complementary firing of Art Clay pieces for one year is also included. |
| Art Clay Silver Senior Certification Seven projects will build skills in using gold paste, making a lidded pendant, incorporating gold foil, brass, and fine silver bezel wire into your designs. Learning how to create a bezel will allow you to set any stone after firing. The course also introduces the use of three-dimensional design, with emphasis on detail and fine finishing. Pre-requisite: Art Clay Silver Level 1 Certification Post-requisite: Art Clay World, USA approves and certifies instructors into the Senior Instructor community by reviewing an application and examining a selection of 3 pieces of original work. The pieces submitted must reflect specific techniques and skills the individual learned during the Art Clay education. A non-refundable $200 application fee is also required from anyone submitting for Senior Instructor Status. |
